Sand...or Mud Fun

We had two beautiful and warm days here on Monday and Tuesday....so the girls played outside a lot!! Last year my parents got them a sandbox-water toy and they are both loving it this year!! It is so funny to watch them....Angelica likes to delicately play and put sand in the flower pots and if her hands get dirty wash them off in the water...Emma loves to dive in to the sandbox up to her armpits and wipe it on her face and throw it everywhere. They both enjoyed dumping more of the sand in the water section and making mud pies more than anything...they get so dirty we have to strip down outside and leave the clothes to dry on the deck! Fun times!!

A Little Sunday Gardening

Last Sunday, Angelica had a BLAST helping Papa plant all the seeds for our garden. This year he paid for a community garden plot....a 10x20 and 10x10 plot. So we are hoping and thinking we will have lots of fresh veggies and flowers this summer!! Angelica loves checking the greenhouse every night to see if the seeds are growing yet and watering them! A little gardener in training!

10.2 Weeks

This is a picture of a baby about 10 weeks old....just as old as our baby is right now. Today I had my first actual appointment with my doctor.....FINALLY! She said everything is measuring according to my dates, so for now we are keeping the due date at November 7th. We are going to wait to do an ultrasound until the 18-20th week, so a couple more months to go. I was super excited though because I got to hear the heartbeat today.....loud and strong!!! For about two weeks now I have been feeling very nauseated, tired and sick. I get a horrible metallic tasting tongue that causes gagging reflexes all day long and smells....UGH. Since I got back from Florida, life has been interesting.....my Lent and Easter were different than I had planned and I tried really hard to offer so much of it up and accept that this is how it was supposed to be this year....it is hard for me to "let go" of plans and expectations and even harder not to be staying on top of cleaning, laundry, meals etc. I am finding it hard to remember how it felt to go to bed without heartburn, open the fridge without having to plug my nose, drink and eat anything that sounds or tastes good, feel like I have energy, not have to focus on taking deep breaths so I don't throw up....ah, the joys of early pregnancy!!! I have to say that I am so blessed to have an incredible hubby. He has been cook, grocery shopped, Mr. Mom, nurse and so much more and working his normal full days on top of it all. He keeps telling me that we will get through this and that I just need to do what works for me and the baby right now. So please keep us in your prayers that I start to feel better soon and that this little one continues to grow healthy and strong. The girls are loving pointing to my belly and saying baby and giving it kisses. It will be a fun adventure but a part of me just already can't wait for November!! (I am not one of those people that love being pregnant, can't you tell?) But as my mom keeps reminding me....just to look at the two sweet faces I get to see each day and remember there is another one inside...so today with that thought and the sound of the heartbeat, I am trying to keep it in perspective and thank God for all His blessings....now off to eat some saltines and take a nap!!

Cousin Love

Angelica and Emma just LOVED having Baby Albert around in Florida. They always wanted to hold him and kiss him and tried to get him to play. Emma called him "babies" (for some reason everything is plural in her vocabulary right now) and Angel loved to sing him all her songs and watch him smile!! Wish they lived closer so we could watch them grow up together!!

Meme started this game with Emma....where they sing Follow the Leader and march around the house. Emma LOVED it....she would hang onto people's fingers and drag them all around the house and want to do it over and over again! This will be a nice new trick to keep up my sleeve!!

Florida - Day Eleven

This morning I am really not feeling well and just trying to hold it together. UGH. We decided to take the girls back to the fun water fountain park, this time ready in bathing suits and with towels. They had a blast playing and getting wet, really wish we had one of these around us back home! I spent the rest of the day picking our stuff up, finishing laundry, packing for our EARLY trip tomorrow and trying to clean up the apartment some that we stayed in. For dinner, Meme and Pepe took us back to that yummy Primos Italian restaurant....very good. We hit the sack a bit early because we have a 330AM wake up call tomorrow....our flight leaves at 6am!! I hope Meme and Pepe go back home and go to bed. And hoping I can make it through the flight without throwing up!!
