How much we love our children....
So, yesterday as I was sitting in the chair in the family room...my little Angel who was contently playing with her books on the floor, walked over to my lap and dropped something on it. When I looked down, I saw a lovely big black spider crawling on my leg. For those who know me, I hate bugs and most specifically spiders. So of course I jumped up and screamed as my little one looked at my very worried as to what was going on. I realized I needed to collect myself and do what I most dreaded...killing the spider as my husband was still at work. So I took a deep breath and did it...all for the love of my little one. I realize I must prepare myself for me of these wonderful adventures as Angel continues to grow...although I still shudder to think of that spider crawling on my leg and in my little ones hands...

Oh my, I know how you feel! It takes all my composure not to freak out when I see a spider. I don't want my strapping young lads to think spiders are scary... so I VERY casually ask my 4 year old to kindly get a napkin and remove the spider to the outdoors.
It's not easy just to want to douse it with Lysol and SMASH: but I think the kids would be confused about that... as far as they know there is nothing too scary about spiders!
